Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan

A Review By: DWP

“Real, raw, magnificentBefore I Let Go is the beautiful angst I love to read.”Colleen Hoover, #1 New York Times bestselling author

Their love was supposed to last forever. But when life delivered blow after devastating blow, Yasmen and Josiah Wade found that love alone couldn’t solve or save everything.

It couldn’t save their marriage.

Yasmen wasn’t prepared for how her life fell apart, but she’s finally starting to find joy again. She and Josiah have found a new rhythm, co-parenting their two kids and running a thriving business together. Yet like magnets, they’re always drawn back to each other, and now they’re beginning to wonder if they’re truly ready to let go of everything they once had.

Soon, one stolen kiss leads to another…and then more. It's hot. It's illicit. It's all good—until old wounds reopen. Is it too late for them to find forever? Or could they even be better, the second time around?

Award-winning and bestselling "powerhouse" author Kennedy Ryan is at her absolute best in this compelling, scorching novel about hope and healing, and what it truly means to love for a lifetime (USA Today).

An installment in a Series? Yes

Narrator (s): Wesleigh Siobhan, Jakobi Diem

This was a story of overcoming loss and finding your way back to yourself. The characters were perfectly flawed and human, and this story truly makes you believe in love again. Kennedy Ryan played no games with the mental health issues in this story and what it takes to be okay not always being okay.

Wesleigh Siobhan, Jakobi Diem: This story was an emotional rollercoaster and these two delivered that on every level. Wesleigh Siobhan brought Yasmen Wade to life. Yasmen was in a very hard place in life and not just anyone can show that with their voice alone. Wesleigh did that. Wesleigh left an impact with every scene and with every word she spoke. Yasmen was a very raw and emotionally-driven character and Wesleigh masterfully displayed that. Jakobi Diem never fails to perform, and as Josiah Wade, he brought all the charm to that man. Josiah was also in a unique place when you jump into his head and Jakobi artfully shows all the emotions that man is ready and not ready to face. Jakobi had the passion and depth that he is known for and so much more in this story. These two performed like no other and made this audiobook a whole moment.

There was nothing not to love about this story. The author and narrators did a fantastic job with this work of art.
