An installment in a Series? Yes

Narrator (s): Morae Brehon, Leon Nixon

This was an unconventional good girl meets bad boy and falls in love story. The characters were real and the story, all consuming. This is a great read.

Morae Brehon embodied sweet and intelligent Claudette. Her natural tone fit the description of Claudette's voice perfectly and she did a great job of giving other characters voices as well. This was not my first time listening to Brehon, so I know what a talented narrator she is, but because the author put so much emphasis on Claudette's voice and tone, it was important to capture that and she did that. Brehon never fails to deliver an epic performance that isn't to be missed.

This was honestly one of the best I've ever heard Leon Nixon narrate. He truly performed in this book. This character was made for his calm, smooth drawl. Dominic's character just always gives off cool and relaxed, and he captured that. The story’s emotions truly shined through. I felt it through his voice. He made it easy to feel the trauma of a young boy made to grow up too fast. Nixon also did great voices for the other characters. I especially enjoyed his Claudette voice, lol. He played no games at all with this one. He was truly a pleasure to listen to.

There was nothing not to love about this book. The story was epic and the narration, top tier.
