The Ancestors by L.A. Banks, Tananarive Due, and Brandon Massey

A Review By: AT

L.A. Banks, Tananarive Due, and Brandon Massey are three of the hottest names in suspense fiction. In this collection of flesh-crawling tales, each author contributes one deliciously twisted selection. A writer unearths dangerous truths in backwoods Mississippi and a man's sanity - and life - are threatened by disturbing visions. Then, in the third and final tale, two children are forced to face off against terrifying ancestors.

Three outstandingly chilling stories written by three of the best Black horror has to offer.

I am floored by this collection of horror stories penned by three Black literary pantheons. All three stories were expertly crafted, edge of your seat, unputdownable works full of intrigue and suspense. While I enjoyed all three, Due’s Ghost Summer was a clear standout. All three were perfectly narrated. but I have to say Miles’ performance had me transfixed. I would highly recommend this listen for anyone who enjoys good stories paired with good storytelling.

My only complaint is that I finished the audiobook. I wish it could have gone on forever!
